In my home, everything has a place. If it doesn't, it doesn't belong here. But what about the spaces? The funky little ugly duckling of corners? For us, those corners tend to build up with toys and little what-nots within a few days. In my mission to keep toys within their little baskets, junk out of the home, and awkward space-well... less awkward, I turned toward my trusty plants, yet again.
The great thing about this awkward corner solution is this; plants can really go anywhere, if giving the proper lighting. They don't need to be designed around a room. If you decide to invest in a piece of furniture later on down the line, well great. The plant can find a new home somewhere within your home, barely making a dent in your current furniture set-up.
Have you given this little design trick a try? Would love to hear more tricks when it comes to maximizing, or in this case, minimizing your sometimes awkward spaces.
Have a great weekend!
