Technically, it's been forever since we took that trip with the kids, but it's still so very close in memory. Mostly because, upon our arrival back into New York, the kids, Peter, and I, all got hit with what my friend playfully calls the "plague." Before we left, we got hit with a dose of the stomach plague too. It took each of us down (except Oak), one by one, and released us slightly before the 24th hour. So our trip was exceptionally needed. We managed to stay mostly healthy the entire trip though, so there's that!
I also came back with a new perspective on traveling with kids. It was something that really intimidated me before. Especially when the option to do it all alone was discussed. I can barely keep my eyes open during take off, and I always need a good hand to hold, or gum to chew, or drink to sip before or after take off. Terrible motion sickness with this one. With that said, I was able to teach myself a few tricks to help ease the trip on my stomach and my nerves. I also learned very quickly, that my kids are the best troopers. And they can pretty much handle everything with ease.
Here are a few more photos from our trip.
If you're traveling this weekend, I wish you a smooth and happy trip! I am wearing the Ergobaby 360 carrier in green.
