I playfully call my self the Frugal Foundation-er.;) When I buy one bottle of foundation I usually hold on to it for some time. Come to think of it, my last bottle of foundation was bought late summer/early September and still has some life in it.
Don't get me wrong, my reasoning for holding on to foundation isn't because of it's $30.00+ price tag, it's because I do not use much. Some time ago I was watching a show where I watched a make-up artist only apply foundation on her client's imperfections. Since then, that has been my foundation application process. Most days my foundation is only applied to my eye bags, and uneven skin tone. When I have the occasional pimple or break-out the foundation also gets applied to those imperfections. Some weeks I will get a fair amount of sleep and not need foundation under my eyes, or I'll simply forget to put it on my uneven skin tone. Those days, I still feel like my made-up self. To put it simply, I never wear a full face of make-up.
I suggest this application process to a lot of my friends, especially my dating friends. What guy doesn't want a girl who somewhat looks like herself when she wakes up in the morning?
Damage control girls. ;)
