A Saturday at the Brooklyn Flea

posted on: January 22, 2013

One thing I always look forward to when I am home with River are day dates. We tend to plan them pretty often, and they ease the pain of winter. On Saturday we spent the early afternoon roaming Fort Greene Brooklyn with my friend Emily. I met Emily through Drea, and really she couldn't have moved to New York City at a better time. She's always down for an adventure. A real keeper.;)

After we finished eating messy bagels, playing at the park, and day dreaming of the day Peter and I would finally move to Fort Greene (someday soon), we headed to the Brooklyn Flea. During the winter the Flea takes place in a huge...I mean gigantic bank! It's a historical piece in Fort Greene, so it's also rewarding to stand and stare at it too...even when you aren't rumaging for vintage pieces.

River instantly fell in love with this hand made Raccoon. As I was being all anul and tried to style the heck out of this sweet thing River almost climbed out of her stroller with excitement. We compared cool names with the lady who was manning the table (her's was Arielle) and she was so sweet to gift us with a discount for River's birthday. Thank you Arielle!

It was a sweet Saturday indeed.

P.S I have closed the shop while I bring it to ETSY. I will announce the url soon!
