We're Back!

As I cracked opened my window, that quickly let in the hard wind that brushed across my smiling cheek, as I happily listened to the taxis honk, the sirens run on and on- in attempts to beat the light and pass the cars, as I listened from a distance to the music from the car ahead of us blast, I knew I was home. Our trip was beautiful, quick, and just what we needed to refocus and get back into the swing of things. To put it simply, it...was...wonderful. But, NYC has my heart and I am so happy to be home.

I'll be sharing some pictures and thoughts with you on our experience as soon as we settle in a bit, and the culture shock wears off (it was my first time observing the Amish lifestyle-it was amazing).

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

  1. Hi LaTonya, first time reader here but I just wanted to say your daughter is absolutely beautiful! I am from the DC area but found myself living in LA (ah!) with my husband. I am familiar with that feeling that you've just got to "get up and go" to escape the crazy city, but it's a scary relief to be back in the chaos. :) Looking forward to reading more of your blog!

  2. Hi Sarah!
Thanks so much for stopping by. You are so sweet! I say, go when ya feel like ya gotta go. ha
